As I mentioned in an earlier post on the transition to 100% stock back, Amazon is a bit of the canary in the coal mine. Because we can’t reward our members directly when they shop at Amazon, it’s a bit of a tough bird. When a member chooses to shop at Amazon via iConsumer, it’s the purest indication that they’re consciously doing something to benefit the company that they own. And I believe that suggests good things for iConsumer.
So I’m glad to share that our September 2019 revenues (unaudited and subject to change) from Amazon grew over 800% from September, 2018. The Amazon numbers are still small, but becoming meaningful. They are not necessarily indicative of how we’re doing generally. We don’t break out any retailer’s results specifically, but we do discuss customer (retailer) concentration in our financial statements.
Members recruiting new shoppers is the engine that will make us most successful. It’s good to know that when you tell friends that they can Shop Like A Sharktm, that shopping can include Amazon.
