Slack – Following in iConsumer’s footsteps

By: Robert Grosshandler | June 20, 2019

Slack, the messaging app, is using the same methodology we did to get its shares traded publicly. It’s NOT doing an IPO, it’s just doing a direct listing.

Here’s a great article on the why’s and wherefore’s.

Obviously, they are a bit bigger than we are. But no more profitable.

If I may ask, what is stopping iConsumer from.doing the same? Company size? Market cap?

We actually did the same, just not quite as big. We’re “public”, as a direct issuer. Differently, we didn’t raise hundreds of millions of dollars already. We didn’t have traditional venture capital. So now we have to make up for lost time, with a much smaller checking account.
